The 2024 Annual UCLA Music of Iran Concert
The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and Farhang Foundation presented the ANNUAL MUSIC OF IRAN student concert on May 19, 2024 at UCLA's Schoenberg Hall. Part of the historic Iranian Music Degree program at UCLA fully funded by Farhang Foundation. The night featured performances by the students enrolled in the Iranian Music Minor program in collaboration with their instructors and acclaimed professional musicians. Directed by Dr. Shahab Paranj, the newly created Iranian Ensemble performed pieces by Iranian classical composers from different eras, including Darvish Khān, Jalil Andalibi, Parviz Meshkatian, Bijan Kamkar, and Shahab Paranj.
