Shab-e Yalda Celebrations 2017
A beautiful celebration of the ancient Persian tradition of Shab-e Yalda (winter solstice). Featuring musical performances by the Rosha Ensemble under the direction of Mehrdad Arabi مهرداد اعرابی and orchestration by Hamed Poursaee, with special guest vocalists Arash Avin and Chloe Pourmorady Music. Of course no Yalda celebrations would be complete without the brilliant storytelling by the world's first female Naghal (Epic storyteller) Official Gordafarid|گردآفرید. Thank you to the over 500 sold out audience members who joined us to celebrate this special eventing. Event was in collaboration with the prestigious UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
