Farhang Foundation’s Iranian Studies Initiative at the University of Southern California (ISI at USC) is a multi-phased effort launched in 2010 to establish a first-ever Iranian Studies program at USC. UCLA Iranian Music Degree Program: Honoring Ahmad Gramian’s Vision and Legacy
On May 7, 2018, Farhang Foundation announced a historic gift of $1million dollars to the UCLA Herb Albert School of Music to launch the first Iranian Music Degree program outside of Iran.
In 2015, Farhang Foundation and the University of California, Irvine (UCI) launched the first ever Persian Studies minor program in the School of Humanities. By becoming proficient in Persian language, as well as the history, culture, and contributions of Iran, students will learn about a complex region of the world that is increasingly at the center of today’s political climate and international affairs, as well as gain a competitive edge in the job market.
