THE SEALED SOIL Restoration World Premiere
We were incredibly honored to present the world restoration premiere of the 1977 Iranian new wave classic THE SEALED SOIL by the visionary filmmaker Marva Nabili. This event was a collaboration between Farhang Foundation and the UCLA Film and Television Archive as part of the 2024 UCLA CELEBRATION OF IRANIAN CINEMA. The Sealed Soil has been meticulously restored by the UCLA Film & Television Archive, thanks to generous funding from the Golden Globe Foundation, Century Arts Foundation, Farhang Foundation, and Mark Amin. We were delighted to welcome our special guests, Thomas Fucci and Marva Nabili, to this memorable event, and are thankful to Sara Saljoughi for moderating the the evening's Q&A session.
