Bronze Sculpture: 47”H x 25”W x 27”L From the artist’s most recent solo show in New York City.
Ali Kourehchian is an architect and sculptor since 1995. Based on his architectural knowledge, he enjoys working in all types of media to present his concepts in the best way.
His first solo exhibition with the context of applied sculpture was held in Barg Gallery in 1996. His first exhibition outside Iran was held in Dubai “Index” 2000 after which he received six different awards in six years from “Hofex” exhibition for the best furniture design, best innovation and creativity in design, and best booth design.
Tehran private contemporary art museum (Man e Honar e nou) collected five of his sculptures and furniture pieces. Kourehchian’s latest research, started in 2014, regards the relation between “Persian calligraphy” shapes and “Art Nouveau” style with his unique modification to the modern shapes. Persian calligraphy in his art represents Iranian mysticism, and those unique modern forms will represent occidental philosophy. This concept shows his dialectical view from modernism obstacles.
His recent solo exhibition was in New York in 2017 with Elga Wimmer Gallery NYC, which is curated by Masoud Nader and Roya Khadjavi.

Kamran Sharif Is an Iranian sculptor born 1978 in Tabriz, Iran, where he graduated from Mirak Art School. He opened his first private studio in Tehran. He now works and lives in Los Angeles, California.
Sharif uses various technical presses and materials, including wood, clay, mold making, bronze, and other forms of castings. He employs methods of reduction and notions symbolism in his work as a strategy for experiencing personal feelings and confronting the difficulties of life.
His recent works are the outcome of his critical approach to various sociocultural conditions of the new world of the new society. Sharif’s works are exhibited locally and internationally. Some of his recent sculptures are held in permanent museum collections and in private collections.
