Opening Night | 2026 UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema
A memorable opening night at the 2026 UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema! Presented by the UCLA Film & Television Archive and proudly sponsored by Farhang Foundation, this year’s series opened at the Hammer Museum with the Los Angeles premiere of Mortician, the acclaimed new film by writer/director Abdolreza Kahani, starring Gola, Nima Sadr, and Pouya Razavi. Following the screening, audiences enjoyed a special virtual Q&A with Abdolreza Kahani and Gola, who shared insights into the making of the film and engaged in a thoughtful conversation with attendees.
