Job Description:
- Farhang Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting Iranian art and culture, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Coordinator to join our team. The Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the CEO and ensuring the smooth operation of the foundation's activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Iranian art and culture, possess excellent organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive Support:
- Assist the Executive Director and their team with daily administrative tasks, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence and phone calls.
- Prepare and organize materials for meetings, presentations, and events.
- Conduct research and compile reports to support the Executive Director’s initiatives and projects.
- Assist the Executive Director with contracts.
- Manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
2. Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage phone calls and all public email correspondence for the foundation.
- Draft and edit correspondence, press releases, and other communication materials.
- Maintain and update the foundation’s contact database.
3. Event Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and execution of cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, festivals, and programs, working closely with the Assistant Director and Sr. Project Supervisor.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including venue arrangements and catering.
- Manage event registrations and RSVP management.
4. Administrative Tasks:
- Manage office operations, including maintaining office supplies and equipment.
- Maintain organized records and files, both physical and digital.
5. Special Projects:
- Support the development and implementation of new initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate with team members and volunteers to achieve the foundation’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Fluency in Persian is preferred but not required.
- Passion for Iranian art and culture is a must.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends depending on event schedules and programming is required.
- Prior experience in a nonprofit or cultural organization is a plus, but not required.
