About the KOOBAN ENSEMBLE
The Kooban Ensemble was formed in 2000 under the leadership of Vandad Massahzadeh. The primary focus of the ensemble is on mystical and folkloric Iranian music. To date, they have performed over 500 concerts throughout the world. The Kooban Ensemble has played a significant role in presenting and promoting Iranian culture and art, and their current program features a selection of this effort. The presentation features music from the diverse ethnicities of Iran, from such regions as Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Khorasan, Gilan, Shiraz, and Tehran.

About MELIEKA FATHI
Melieka Fathi is a choreographer, instructor, and performer of Classical Iranian dances, and the founder and artistic director of the Melieka Fathi Dance Company. She has worked with world-renowned artists and organizations in an effort to preserve and expand upon Iranian arts within diaspora communities. The company’s unique style is defined as a blend of historic roots and diasporic inspirations.
About CHEF MOJDEH EGHBAL
Chef Mojdeh began her culinary journey by immigrating to the U.S. in 2004, driven by a passion for the culinary arts. She honed her skills in various restaurants, becoming a wine connoisseur and mastering cooking techniques and wine pairing.
With her extensive knowledge and boundless passion for food, Chef Mojdeh has catered diverse events, from intimate dinners to grand celebrity celebrations at renowned museums like The Getty Villa. Her unique designs and exquisite menus leave an unforgettable impression.
Rooted in authentic recipes from her mother and grandmother, Chef Mojdeh's cooking preserves Persian flavors while adding her unique touch, taking diners on a culinary voyage.
About KINROSE CREAMERY
Kinrose Creamery is an artisanal Iranian and Egyptian ice cream shop that brings culinary traditions to life! Founded by husband-and-wife duo Maria Oveysi and Moe Kamal, the creamery began as a pandemic-era start-up, delivering pints inspired by family recipes. After gaining popularity through private catering and Smorgasburg LA, they opened their brick-and-mortar location in January 2024, in Old Town Pasadena with their second location in Encino, in 2025.
The menu features unique and inventive offerings like saffron pistachio rose, walnut baklava, and sour cherry topped with Iranian fairy floss (Pashmak). Each scoop is adorned with ornate toppings such as rosebuds, phyllo crunch, and halva, creating an artistic edible experience!
