On April 16, 2023, a remarkable event unfolded as Farhang Foundation and the Alex Theatre Performing Arts Center came together to honor and celebrate the voices of Iranian women in ZAN: VOICES OF FREEDOM. This unforgettable evening featured an extraordinary performance by the talented artist and activist, GOLA, who captivated the audience with her new song, YOUR GOD, a heartfelt dedication to the WOMAN, LIFE, FREEDOM movement in Iran.
As we mark the one-year anniversary of Mahsa Amini's passing, and as we reflect on the enduring strength of the WOMAN, LIFE, FREEDOM movement, Farhang Foundation stands unwavering in its support for the people of Iran. It is essential to recognize that the principles of freedom, cultural diversity, and religious freedom have their roots in the wisdom of Cyrus the Great, who lived more than 2,500 years ago in Iran. This ancient land holds a profound historical significance as the birthplace of human rights, and its legacy continues to inspire us all.

About Gola
Gola or Golazin is an exiled Iranian singer and women's rights activist.
Her first-hand life experiences in Iran have effectively shaped her as a fearless, international women’s rights advocate while living in exile from her home country.
