Amir H. Fallah: The Fallacy of Borders

The Iranian American artist’s first solo museum exhibition in Los Angeles and a homecoming to UCLA, where he earned his MFA.

The Fallacy of Borders will feature more than 25 works including large-scale paintings, sculptures, stained glass, and Beautiful/Decay magazine ephemera. The exhibition is organized around themes that thread through Fallah’s work including cultural inheritance and identity formation, diaspora and homeland, which challenge us to question and transcend boundaries and borders that separate people, cultures, geographies, and art practices. Fallah will also be debuting several new works.

The Fallacy of Borders is curated by Amy Landau, Director of Education and Interpretation at the Fowler Museum.

Amir Fallah (b. 1979, Tehran, Iran; lives and works in Los Angeles) came to the US as a child in the wake of the Iranian revolution.
