The Sibarg Ensemble was established in 2008 by Hesam Abedini along with a group of students as the first Fusion Ensemble of the Tehran Music School in Iran. Sibarg has performed at several locations and have, with each performance, introduced their method of fusing eastern and western melodies to create beautiful and original compositions as well as introducing classical Persian music. Since 2010, Sibarg has rebooted their performances in the United States and has introduced new, talented musicians. The have decided to invited Kyle Molt (bass player), Josh Charney (pianist), and Ebrahim Poustinchi (tar player) to create a multicultural program in which original compositions will be performed in different forms such as improvisation, folk songs, and composed pieces. The primary goal of this concert is to introduce not only classical Persian music, but also Persian folkloric music and contemporary
