About Arash
Arash Avin was born in Tehran when it was a place of pure potential for growing musicians and performers. Unfortunately, a revolution hit his native country, and the production and performance of most styles of music were forbidden. Despite this forced silence, Avin managed to keep his passion for music alive.
When the music ban eased, Avin released one of the first post-revolution albums, Do Saye, which, due to federal regulations, had to be soft-tempo and more melodic than dance. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in Tehran, Avin released a second, more upbeat album, Safar. Although dance music was now legal, it was still forbidden to dance in public. Nevertheless, Safar scored high on the charts, where it became one of the top albums of the year.
Avin then relocated to the U.S. to further explore his career in the vibrant Los Angeles music community. He is the lead male vocalist in the band Rouge, one of LA’s top world music groups. He is currently working on his future releases, collaborating with the Persian music scene’s finest.
Avin is an artist all around. In addition to being a musician, he is an accomplished painter and skilled dancer. His artistic abilities show that he is truly a lover of all forms of creative expression.
After an earthquake in Kermanshah, Arash released the moving song and video LaaLaaee (Lullabay) which he dedicated to all the victims and survivors of the devastating earthquake.
