The Community Education Outreach Council oversees all of the foundation’s many educational programs for for K-12. Currently the council is responsible for the Persian 101 After School program in public elementary schools of southern California, offering an introduction to Persian language and culture for students K-5.
Launched in 2011, the Farhang Fine Arts Council is dedicated to the promotion of Iranian art and culture for the benefit of the community at large. We strive to further Farhang Foundation’s mission by creating a platform to showcase and celebrate Iranian art and artists.
Launched in 2012, the Farhang Generations Council is dedicated to the continued success, education and passion of young Iranian-Americans and the community at large. We strive to further Farhang Foundation’s mission by creating a platform for Iranian art and culture to flourish upon for our forthcoming generations.
Farhang Foundation’s Iranian Studies Initiative at the University of Southern California (ISI at USC) is a multi-phased effort launched in 2010 to establish a first-ever Iranian Studies program at USC. With full support from USC, Farhang Foundation spearheaded this initiative with one goal in mind: to create a thriving and comprehensive Iranian Studies program at USC.
All of the many Farhang Foundation activities in Orange County are overseen by our Orange County Coucil. The Coucil’s goals are to continue Farhang’s many programs, and establish new specific regional programs in Orange County.
Farhang’s Patron Council was created to help promote Farhang’s patron program with a mission to raise funds in support of the foundation’s mission. Members of this council are responsible for gathering sponsors and patrons for Farhang’s many annual projects and events, including the annual celebration of Nowruz, and the annual fundraising gala.
The Persian Philosophy and Literature Council seeks to promote a greater awareness and appreciation for Persian classic and modern contributions to the humanities.
The UCLA Council at Farhang Foundation supports and sponsors various programs that fall under Farhang’s mission of promoting Iranian art and culture for the benefit of the community at large. These programs include the annual bilingual lecture series, various Iranian student events, and lecture the very popular UCLA Celebration of Iranian Cinema.
